SAP Event Management initial versions were delivered with only a few visibility processes but it has slowly reached 13 preconfigured visibility process scenarios so far.

What is Preconfigured Visibility Process?

Visibility processes are predefined end to end scenario templates. You don’t have to create, configure and start from scratch for client’s business processes. Instead, you can just copy the preconfigured template and tailor according to your client’s business processes. It eases our work and helps us to save time & reduce budget cost.

Visibility process scenario template offers two documents:

  1. Business Scenario and Business Process Procedure document.
  2. Configuration guide.

Business Scenario and Business Process Procedure document

Explains the end to end business process of the actual scenario and provides detailed description of each and every process comprised in the visibility process.

For example:

Transportation Visibility Process:-

Transportation Visibility Process contains two sub processes –

  • International Road Shipment
  • International Sea Shipment

If you look in detail, International Sea Shipment has its own steps which describes about Preliminary legs, Main legs and Subsequent legs.

Preliminary Legs – The product moves from Warehouse to nearest Departure Port by Road.

Main Legs – The product further ships from Departure Port to Destination Port by Sea.

Subsequent Legs – After the product is unloaded From Destination Port, it is delivered to customer via Road.

If your client is exporting products internationally and sending it to a customer via Road and Sea, then you can copy this Transportation Visibility Process template and custom according to your client needs.

Configuration Guide

Configuration guide document gives you a direction to configure a particular visibility process, step by step in source application system and SAP Event Management system.

For example:

If your client plans to implement Transportation visibility process – International Road Shipment and International Sea Shipment then configuration guide gives you a direction to “How to set it up” and run these processes effectively.
